Aaden update

On saturday Aaden was moved to a different unit in the NICU! He is in a crib now and they dress him everyday. He is off ALL of his antibiotics and the caffeine. His IV is out. His feeding tube is still in but he is now taking bottles. He has been eating 2 bottles a day and will go up to four a day for 2 days and as long as he does good the tube can come out and if he eats good for 2 days without the tube he can go home. Say prayers that he is home by christmas. The nurses say it looks good. They told us to get what we had to get done by this week :)

Aaden is here!

Aaden Joseph Wood born Dec 5th at 3:29p.m. 5 pounds 13 ounces. 18 inches long. He came seven weeks early. he is NICU but doing great. He has been breathing on his own since he was born. his iv line is thru his belly button so we haven't been able to hold him yet:( he started eating breastmilk thru his tube on sunday and they have been increasing it the last 2 days. they will do another increase today. he is doing wonderful with it and if he keeps tolerating it and doing good his iv could come out by the end of the week:) I feel truly blessed for the miracle god has sent me. I know his Poppy and big brother took good care of him and are watching over all of us.

Christmas

So i have decided to start decorating for christmas! Mark thinks i am crazy. I am 29 weeks today and so uncomfortable. I can only imagine what i will be like by the day after Thanksgiving. We are going to wait to put the tree and outside stuff up until the weekend after. I feel like Adden sits on my bladder and bounces up and down. The nursery is all ready for my little guy so Christmas decorating here i come!

Aaden at 28 weeks

I went to the dr's on tuesday and he sent me in for another ultrasound to see how big hes is getting. I am measuring about a week and a half more. I go back to the Dr's on the 18th to see where we are at. Aaden actually looked like he was smiling in this pic. :) He kept trying to pull his toes into his mouth! I am starting to get uncomfortable but loving every minute of it. I feel very blessed and can't wait to meet him and spoil him!

Aaden Joseph Wood

So the Baby is without a doubt a BOY! We have decided on the Aaden. We "stole" the spelling from Jon and Kate plus 8. LOL I will post pics as soon as Mark scans them for me the right way.:) Right now its looking like he will be making his entrance the very end of dec of very beginning of Jan, He is a very active little guy. I am going to try to work right up until Christmas break that is if i can handle the new boss that long. It's a challenge everyday!

The Six Flags Lodge

We took the kids to spend the night at the lodge and the indoor water park our last week in NY. They had a ball adn both said ot was their favorite part of the trip. Tweety deliverd a birthday cake to our room for jordan. Then we went to dinner with Aunt Katie at Johnny Rockets. We ate there 3 times the kids loved it so much.

Then we had bedtime stories with Slyvester. The next day we spent all day at the Indoor waterpark. Jordan tried the wave part and ending up losing his swim shorts!
